PRIVACY AT TAPSHIFT

How TapShift handles personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how TapShift collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through its website, applications, NFC-enabled attendance tools, scheduling, reporting, support and related services. TapShift manages personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

Information and purpose

Depending on how the service is configured, TapShift may handle account and contact details, organisation and workforce information, schedules, workplace locations, attendance events, NFC credential identifiers, technical and security logs, commercial records and support communications. This information is used to provide the service, authenticate users, manage access, protect accounts, follow lawful customer instructions, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, communicate about service matters and comply with legal obligations.

Customers and workers

A customer such as an employer generally decides why workforce information enters its TapShift workspace, who may access it and how the workspace is configured. Customers remain responsible for their workplace collection practices, permissions, notices and lawful instructions. TapShift limits access according to role and operational need, applies security measures appropriate to the information, and retains information only as long as reasonably required for permitted purposes.

Individuals may request access or correction, raise a privacy enquiry or make a complaint. The complete interactive policy includes further information about disclosures, overseas recipients, retention, security, data incidents and available complaint steps.
